With inglenook fireplaces, stunning views and the sound of the river just feet away, all the rooms in Idyll Cottage have a special feel about them. From the Dining room that was the old Blacksmith shop to the consevatory where you feel you are in the garden, every room has its own special character.
Inglenook fireplace and Wood Burning Stove
The Living room is light and airy with big picture windows looking out onto the lawned garden and Exmoor beyond. There is nothing better of an evening than settleing down in front of the wood burning stove set in the inglenook fireplace. You can watch a film on the flat screen tv or just relax and watch the flames.
Great for Breakfast
The Conservatory is a great place to have breakfast and read the papers before setting off to explore Exmoor. On the same level as the Garden it is an ideal place to watch the many different species of birds that visit us summer and winter. Put some bird food out and you have your own feathered showtime
Stunning Stonework and Vaulted Ceiling
The Dining room used to be the village smithy back in the 17th century and you can still see the original beams in the double height ceiling. Eating in here in the evening is very atmospheric and special.
